2004 aberdeen

Post by m35gibson »

hey guys,,
i wondered if any of you all remember the fella camping up in the upper right field in aberdeen, in 04. he was driving a cucv with im guessing
a m101 trailer with a s-205 shelter decked out, it had ac fridge water
awning attached grill raised roof among other things, i took pictures of it,
but my camera died half way thru the show, i lost everything
i do know the guy was up from alabama, and once they yanked the
show from the field, he stopped coming, anyway, if anyone has any
idea who this fella was i would apprciate it
i was going to start redoing the inside of my shelter, and was hoping between you all and and some other folks i was hanging around, someone
might remember
thanks

Hello m35gibson, I cannot help but ask this question: How can you, as a military vehicle owner, with ndt tires, all wheel drive, HATE MUD ? Just joking, of course. Perhaps it's because I live in the "city" that I look forward to a rare episode of sloshing around. Peter Mark

Mudfest.....

Post by Nickathome »

I remember that year well. Its the year I bought my truck, and I bought it from that show. If I recall thats the last year the show was held at the field there. The township went ballistic over the cleanup of the road due to all the mud left on the road afterward . I also heard the owner of the property paid a hefty cleanup bill too! Personally I like the Ripkin site a whole lot better anyway. At least if it rains you know you are not going to have to traipse through a quagmire just to look at items for sale.

I'm with kevin on the mud issue. I don't mind it but also don't like the cleanup.

Question

Post by greencom »

Hey Kevin,
About three years ago I was checking out some trucks in the Memphis Equipment lot in Chambersburg and met a guy who talked to me about his M35. I was wondering if that was you. I know you don't remember me but I was wondering if it could have been possible.

Yeah, they want an awful lot for their trucks but I have gotten pretty good deals on some parts at the store and on their ebay stuff. Mark is a very friendly guy to deal with also.
