Floor pan

This may sound like a silly question. Has anyone had trouble removing the floor panel in your M37. My M is equipped with a winch and I did remove the winch engagement handle as well as the shifter. Can't seem to get the clearance to remove pan. Looks like I have to remove the rest of the PTO lever as well. Any ideas ?

Its faster to just remove the shifters than the fuss around trying to wiggle the panel out with them installed. Its also less stressful than shoving the panel up under the dash and getting it stuck between the cowl vent handle and the seat riser...lol

No real secrets-mine has always been a WWE main event, turning, twisting, moving shift levers around and clearing the seat cushion latch etc. to get it off. That's why I didn't put my battery kill switch in the front of the seat box. Even worse is reinstallation of all those bolts once you finally get the panel back in place-I learned years ago on the M35 Deuces to hand-start all bolts before tightening any down. The M37 pan is just as aggravating if not more because it's stiffer than a Deuce pan.

Yeah, thanks guys. I consider myself quite a handy guy but this is twisting me. Seems like such a no brainer. Gonna dive down below and see if I can remove the PTO lever from there. And as a side note, I started the truck up and forgot I had moved the PTO lever and let the clutch up. The winch is now wound so tight all the seals blew. Yikes !
