I'm by no means an expert on M37 turn signals but I think "early" M37's did not have turn signals.....
maybe only the late "B" models. So your choices on turn signal indicators should be wide open,
There is an extensive discussion on turn signals on this site if you'll do a "search". You will get
some good advice. I chose the later model turn signal setup for my early M37 because of it's higher reliability.
I did have to change out the connectors but that's not a very big deal.

There was a kit for early trucks which involved a square green box with screw terminals, not douglas connectors. I saw a complete kit on ebay last week so they are out there.

You can also look into a Signal Stat 900. There available at most auto stores. I know Napa and Amazon sell them. I have one on my truck, it wasn't hard to wire up to the harness that was made up with wiring for directional's. It dosen't come with any type of connectors on the wires so I used a terminal block mounted under the dash.

I am in the process of wiring one of these into my truck as well...I used spade connectors and heatshrunk over them.

The signal stat was in my truck when I purchased it, however the wiring was ripped out of the dash
