dash blanking plate

Can anyone tell me what the round blanking plate on the dash board is? Many thanks

Hi Lewis,

I know we talked about that on here a while ago.......I THINK, but am not sure, that the hole was punched out for the defroster(heater) when it was installed in the truck. But I'm sure someone will jump in here and either confirm or correct.

Yes, the big knock out in the dash is for the defroster duct.

I find the defroster a nice feature on rainy days (we have a lot of them up here).

Yes the defrost duct is a help when your windshield is coated over on the inside.
