high charge rate

Post by lewisgrace »

the charge rate on my m37 is always in the region of 28 to 30 volts even on tickover, sometimes even entering into the red area. after a trip of over 200 miles going to the War and Peace show, which incidentally was terrific, the charge rate was towards 30 volts . Im assuming I have regulator problems, what do you learned gentlemen think many thanks for your thoughts . Bill U.K.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about 28 volts, remember most 12v systems charge pushing 14v. You can turn the voltage regulator back with a screw driver and a multimeter. Make sure you check the voltage with said multimeter first though to make sure the gauge isn't giving you an inaccurate voltage which is quite possible
