Hi Guys,
On Saturday my buddy and I swung by Carter's house to pick up an M I bought from him. It was about a 3 hour ride to his place, mostly on major highways. As I was telling him yesterday, I was totally amazed on the way back home with the reaction I got from other motorists when they saw the ol' M on the rollback. I got more smiles and thumbs-ups in those 3 hours than at any other time in my life. One guy in an old 60's Dodge cabover van literally stayed on our side for miles just gawking at the old girl on the back. Most of the people were fairly young, which is what amazed me most. Maybe it was because it was the Memorial Day weekend....or maybe people have more of a clue than I give them credit for. Either way it made me feel good and gave me a bit of hope for this country of ours.
Have a great Memorial Day,
bob

When I take my 53 out around town or to the next town over, I get thumbs ups and waves from pedestrians, over drivers and almost all of the bikers. The older guys look really happy that there's a young guy restoring a 60 year old war horse too.
