Hi Guys,
I was reading thru some M37 manuals and they talk about making sure when you drive in water that you install the "flywheel housing drain plug" that should be kept in the glovebox....and then to remove it when you're out of the water. I don't know what this plug looks like. Does anyone have one that they can take a picture of? I'm guessing it's rubber.....but that's about all I know.
thanks,
bob

Bob,
It's not rubber, it's a pipe plug.

Re: Flywheel Housing Drain Plug ?
I never could understand the reason for using the plug while (whilst for MM) fording. It's safe to say
that the housing is anything but water tight, specially during long periods of deep water fording.
So why not leave the plug out all of the time and let the housing drain quickly and as needed?

Re: Flywheel Housing Drain Plug ?
Is it just an ordinary pipe plug or does it have a flange on it like an oil drain bolt? Also same question regarding the drain plug used in the M38a1 since I need to find on of those too.
