Does anyone in the New england area have a decent brake drum they'd like to sell me? Last year there was a guy at weare N.H. with some but i lost his #.

I found two take-out drums, one is a complete assembly the other is stripped. Pictures below...
Drum 1:




Drum 2:




They both appear to be in good shape; but I encourage you to wait and see what Rick has to offer... he may be closer (I'm in Thompson, CT) and his may be in better shape or cheaper...
.. In the meantime you can make me an offer or I can try to get a price for you in a couple days...

Jeff is on the western side of VT (vtduecedriver) and I am due east of him and I also have about 12 off and 24 attached to axles still..I can spare a few....

Thanks for all you help guys, Cordell's got me covered. Word of advise, If your getting your drums turned bring them to a machine shop NOT some guy with a brake drum lathe in the back of his garage, like i did. The machine shop was able to fix 3 of them the 4th was ruined.

Do tell on what happened??? Did it come loose?? I would be interested to know more info on how much you had to take off to make them work. I have seen some oversized shoes out there for drums that are turned. He must not have centered them properly on his brake lathe or more likely there was some rust build up in the centering hole which prevented that. They looked great but when mounted on the truck the brakes would'nt adjust properly. The guy at the machine shop took the time to "dial" everything in just right.
To compensate for the larger bore size on the drums an old mechanic buddy of mine said the used to sand or plane down the shoes a little to create more surface contact. I did'nt do that, the truck stops great except for that 1 wheel pulsates just a little bit.
The drums had never been turned but there was some wear from shoe or maybe rivet contact, but not much, I almost left them alone.
