Fuel Pump Kits

Post by m-11 »

I seen some postings about this place, http://www.maritimedragracing.com/then_ ... e_part.htm i curious to know if everything worked out? It sounds like some miscommunication or wrong parts in a kit. I'm going to tackle the pump on my truck because the previous owner pulled the fuel tank and never reinstalled it. The fuel lines have be open for many, many years and I'm sure the mud doppers have found their way into the pump through the open line.

m-11,

I shipped my fuel pump to Then and Now and Lisa gave me excellent service with fast turnaround.

Bert,

Being a mechanic I have a hard time letting repair shops work on my stuff. The only thing I others do is tires but hopefully as soon as I can find a machine I'll be doing that myself as well.

m-11,

I also do all my own wrenching but for the price difference between me doing the kit and them it was worth the couple of extra bucks. Time is money no matter who you are.

If I'm reading correctly, they charge a minimum of $145.00 to rebuild or you can buy the kit for $125.00 + shipping and handling. I see your point on the price difference and you also stated you were satisfied with them, so I'll take your opinion as a recommendation.
