Looking for engine primer kit
I am looking for an engine primer kit at a reasonable price. Does anyone have one they could part with?

Re: Looking for engine primer kit
Hi Jeff,
The kit is frequently on EBay (there is one on there now). I've been watching the auctions for the better part of the year.....they start at $49 but always end between $100-$250. That's the only place I've ever seen the complete kit. Maybe someone on here has a stash!
Regards,
Bob

Jeff, if you are interested, I'll go look to see what I have. I know I saw a complete package of the nozzles the other day in the garage and I know I have a couple of the pumps and lots and lots of copper tubing.
Let me know.

Re: Looking for engine primer kit
I found all the parts. The primer pump pulls vacuum (it works), but the bad news is that the handle is cracked (not broken - it just has surface cracks, but you'll probably want a new one).
So, if you can't find a better one somewhere else (Midwest Military, VPW, etc.,) let me know.
At least all the parts are in one place now!

Re: Looking for engine primer kit
Does anyone know if the M38 kit is the same as the M37 one? I might still have a kit for my M38 laying around
Re: Looking for engine primer kit
I believe the primer pumps are all the same, but I'm not sure about the nozzles. The nozzles may or may not be different.
You would need to find the installation kit instructions for a few different vehicles to be sure. I have no idea where to start looking for winterization (Arctic) kit component manuals.
Maybe someone here has a few?

Re: Looking for engine primer kit
Hi Guys,
I THINK the M35 primer is different than the M37 primer. The handle is the same, but the mechanism is different. At least that's how people advertise them on Ebay. I believe the M38 and M37 primers are the same.
regards,
bob
