Frame Hood Holder?
I have the piece attached to my truck called the "windshield support frame hood holder" which is the "L" shaped rod attached to the windshield that hooks to a loop on the hood when the hood is fully open open. Nice simple safety device to keep from getting a crushed skull should the hood drop on you. The clip that holds the L shaped rod to the windshield when not in use is missing on my truck. I consulted John at MWM looking for this part, and he does not have them, but offered that they were made from spring steel. Does anyone have a photo of this clip or better yet, know of a source for this part?
Thanks!
Jeff

Re: Frame Hood Holder?
I may? have one, removed it from my truck as the new roof design did not allow it to be there....
I'll have a look in the next couple of days.

Thank you MM!!!

Re: Frame Hood Holder?
I've got one on the rusted out hardtop that I still have to cut up if you need it.

I bought a windshield at a show just to get the spring clip you're talking about, then sold it after I removed the clip.
Re: Frame Hood Holder?
Anyone have a good picture of the spring piece they could post? Thx!

I can post a pic of the one I have, it was made for/by Sid beck, I'm surprised there aren't more of them around, I'll snap it tomorrow after work.
It was not expensive at all 2 or 3 $'s it gets welded on, but i might just anchor it w/ screws?

THANKS Rick, MM and Bruce!!
Re: Frame Hood Holder?
Should be factory, do you have a catcher/keeper on your hood, it resembles a small barnacle, riveted onto the hood.

Let me know if you need more info, the piece itself is one and a quarter inch on the flat.
The reason I'm attaching files from FB is I can no longer add pic's to my posts, for some reason?
