Oil Filter Cartridge Wix 51100

I recently purchased a oil filter from a fellow member here. Thanks ED. He left the old oil cartridge in it. It is marked WIX PC100 (51100).
I tracked it down at the local auto store and the new replacement is much smaller than the old one. The new one isnt marked PC100.
I thought I had picked up the wrong filter but I dont think thats the case. I believe the manufacturer is in cahoots with the ice cream makers. Charge more and give the consumer a smaller product. I guess its just the sign of the times.

Napa Gold, 1100 is what the old one should be? It's what mine is, I think?

I run Napa Gold 1100's in my m-37's as well, work great!

Hi Guys,

NAPA filters are made by WIX. The "5" before the "1100" just designates the WIX part number.....so they're the same filter.
