For 40 bucks more you can get the whole assembly with new glass on fleebay. Just an option. That is probably the way I'll go since my glass is all smashed I'll just buy the whole assembled thing. For the cost of the kit, plus having to have the laminate glass cut I'll be ahead of the game.

Of course it would be easier to buy the unit assembled, glass and all if that is what that was needed, the point that seems to have escaped you is folks with good glass and rusted frames have an option other than getting a complete new assembly when only the frames need to be replaced..

Nothing excaped me Carter. I was just pointing out another option. Plus I have never seen 60 year old laminated glass that wasn't starting to fog or get cloudy. If your frame needs to be replaced most likely you should replace the glass too. But if someone only needs the frame then by all means that is a great option.

Be careful when buying complete frames with glass. I bought mine but wasnt told about the korean company logo laminated between the glass. It is very good quality just didnt expect to have the logo staring at me FOREVER. No way to remove it. I will cover it up with some stick on american flags.

Well then that might be a good reason to get the frames from the company above and go to your local glass shop an have him make you new glass so you don't get the "bug" as it's called in the glass biz in the window stating it's from Korea.

I've got one of each installed, One from a supplier complete, the other I rebuilt/restored, but the Korean logo is almost invisible, ie; small, I'll take a pic this weekend?
