Buckets of DCPD logo bolts for sale

Post by MSeriesRebuild »

1 M37 and 2 Power Wagons disassembled; two 5-gallon buckets of bolts. Many are DCPD logo. If you have interest, feel free to make an offer.

Hi Mseries,

Shipping costs are going to be the issue......any idea what a 5 gallon bucket of bolts weighs?

thanks,
bob

I have not weighed it, however I can put it on the scales. Probably around 200# would be in the neighborhood for 1 bucket. Based on some recent shipping cost; if it was going across the country from east coast to west coast; the cost would be approx $250-$300 range. This is using LTL truck service which is cheaper than UPS on this type of parcel; and would not require anywhere near the packaging time & expense that it would take for this to survive UPS. I doubt the shipping cost would vary whether there was 1 or 2 buckets on the pallet.

Hi Charles,

Sorry.....I didn't think you were talking about THAT MANY bolts/nuts/etc. A little out of my league, but sure a great thing for someone who's restoring more than one vehicle.

thanks,
bob

We'll ship a lesser quantity if you only want a part of what we have. Smaller containers could go UPS or Fed-Ex.

I will forward this to someone I know who does restoration work for a living. He might be interested. He has 6 Command Cars and a couple of M-37's and a jeep or two in his shop now.

Hi Charles,

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you......ARMD....Age Related Mental Degeneration I think they call it.
If 52-M42's buddy isn't interested in buying the whole kit and caboodle from you I'd be interested in an amount that's UPS or FedEx-able.
I'm not sure what you're looking to get for them, so let me know what you're thinking. I realize it's a bit of a touchy subject, as I've seen guys pay $4 for a WW2 specific bolt at the swap meets and on the other end I've had guys give me a box or pail full of M37 hardware just so they wouldn't have to take it back home with them. So let's talk about it and see if we can reach common ground.

thanks,
bob

Bolts were picked up this morning by Tanner. He is shipping them to Colorada strapped on the bed of an M37 he has sold to a gentleman there.
