If those were 16" I'd buy them in a second. If my tires were any taller I'd need a bigger garage door, so no 37's for me.

The 37" HMMWV tires when new measure out at ~ 36.5" overall diameter, compared to the 9.00-16 at ~35.5" overall diameter. Net gain of approximately 1" in O.D. Of course, tire pressures & amount of tread left on tire (if installing used HMMWV tires) comes into play in the O.D. equation as well -

I'll take measurements this weekend to confirm, but these should clear disc brake conversion from Ugly Truckling...

The rims definitely clear the disc brake conversions from Helitool/Uglytruckling - bolted up a rim to a disc brake equipped M37 today for test fit.

Sounds good Tanner but I am still scratching for funds as I have just had to spend $1,400 on wood for much needed replacement of our garden and greenhouse, I am sure someone on here will jump in and get them before me, C'mon guys, these are too good to pass up :!:

Okay, I'm trying to decide between your rims and having a set of 16 inch rims made from my budd centers. Anybody want to talk me into these?

MonkeyMan... funny that you mention $1400 - this was some of the price quotes I was getting from UPS & FedEx for shipping to your neighborhood...

These rims were originally mounted with Super Swamper tires when I got them; they were used on a M37 water tank truck by a fire company that serviced a soft terrain forested area nearby. Evidently, they worked.

MM - hard part at times is finding good-quality rim bands/'hoops' that are load-rated for heavier trucks. I've run across a few rim bands that are flimsy & cheap.

Others have reported similar issues.

I have been told there is an "oily" (bare rim) that is for F250 and bigger so I'll check that out, problem will be making the rims legal so I have to look into a professional wheelmake to build them. Would you have a pic of the wheel's inside and out so I can get the offset and cut set up to be a close match?
Thanks
