Steering Wheel Options

Post by k8icu »

With the addition of power steering the big old bus steering wheel shouldn't be needed and a smaller steering wheel (in theory) should be able to be put in it's place. (This based on the 900 series 5 tons and the M35A3 having smaller wheels than the older trucks do). Does anyone have a recommendation for a replacement steering wheel? Mine was distroyed by weather and age and when I took it off it completely fell apart so I'm looking at trying to find a replacement. A military one would be my first choice, but I'm open to other options if someone has a suggestion.

don't these trucks have a unique spline such that aftermarket steering wheels won't fit ? (on a stock steering column that is)

@Tuko: Um thanks?

@Monkeymissile: That is what I'm trying to find out. I need a new steering wheel and would like to get something a little smaller if possible.
