Evening all (well those on GMT anyway)
I have managed to get myself an M101 Trailer to go with my truck. Its needs a bit of work but is an early one and solid.
I do have a few questions though;
- In terms of markings would the trailer have its own serial number?
- Would this follow the format of the regular vehicle number, same number of digits etc?
- What other markings would there be, same unit markings as the truck? Stars?
I am also looking for a bunch of parts but Im thinking being in the UK wont make this easy...
Thanks in advance.

Re: M101 Trailer Question
Paul,
The trailer would have it's own serial number on the data plate. As far as it stenciled on the cargo box, good question.
I have seen some that have had the serial number stenciled on the tailgate, although the trailers I come across at shows generally have one star and a "US Army" on the tailgate.
In my trailer manual TM9-2330-202-14P there is an illustration that shows a trailer with a number on the tailgate, but there is no section on markings other than the dataplates. I will look into this some more and report back. I will need to know as I will be painting mine next spring
