I would like to say that the pics are making me want to buy more parts. But I am not trying to bad mouth VPW but if I choose to buy some of those parts I know that I will pay top dollar. I have not had the best or worst expierences with them but I would like to use the "smaller guys" who care a lot about their buisness and its name. A few times I have gotten repackaged parts that I could have gotten elsewhere a lot cheeper that just get me. But like a lot of you I am sure that this will not stop me from buying some of those parts. Lastly if it was midwest or m-series with those parts the order would already be placed.
My experiences with VPW are mixed, I bought my M-37 and my former M-43 from them in 1996, Internet was a dream at that time.
They charged me for a disposable camera, took pictures of the trucks and then mailed it to me so I can have the film processed and the choose wich one I wanted. Ain´t technology a great thing?
I picked one with 12000 miles on the odometer, bought some parts that were missing, a NOS hot water heater kit, and then they installed the powertrain I bought from Boyce equipment. They refund me some cash for the 230 and transmssion I was going to leave with them anywhere.
The installation was good enough that when I bought the M-43 from them I flew to Miami where I installed myself the powertrain in the M-43 with the brackets I´ve copied from the M-37.
You know they could have nailed me big time buying not one but two trucks over the phone from Argentina. The M-37 now has 90000 miles on it. The M-43 was barely used and I finally sold it last year to a friend who was the owner of the garage where I kept it for more that 7 years.
After this I tried to buy some parts, a couple of times, but Steve was never available, they didn´t wanted to accept the international credit card, (after selling me two complete trucks paid with credit card)
Then I´ve placed a big order, they sent me 50% of wrong parts, so I sent back to them all the order, and cancel the payment with the credit card company.
I´ve never bought from them again.
I think that they grew up a lot, and somewhere on the road, they lost the service quality they used to have.
Another great seller was Boyce, they sold me two 6.2 diesel engine packages and I´ve placed 78000 miles on one of them without any trouble. It was a used no warranty engine.
John Bizal, Sid, Fred at Adirondack were great experiences too.

I had contacted VPW regarding their new material as posted here as I was looking for a NOS lt door for my M.
A few emails w/ Steve, a few digital images and a phone call later and a beautiful NOS left door is sitting in my front room. D@mn UPS curled a corner a wee bit but otherwise straight and pretty as a NOS panel should be!
My order was placed on 25FEB08 and goods were rec'd 01MAR08. I am pleased.

Your experiences are similar to mine, BUT a NOS Left Hand Door! I thought I was the king of deals with a NOS Front fender two years ago?HOLZINGER wrote:I had contacted VPW regarding their new material as posted here as I was looking for a NOS lt door for my M.

On the whole I haven't had too many problems, guys like Steve & Bubba are an asset to VPW & Dave Butler.

About 2 years ago I bought a super straight drivers door form 'em. I am going to try and add a link to Robi's Gallery? Looks like it worked?
