When you buy a package of Hotdogs it has 10
When you buy the Hotdog Buns it has 8.
So to equal this equasion you have to buy 8 packs of Hotdogs and 10 packages of Hotdog Buns which = 80
When you buy lunch meat they never match with the cheese in quantinty to equal each other out and match to a weeks worth.
So why do companies package things in more or less what one needs. Well its cheeper for companies to do this because it causes you to buy more which makes profits for the companies.
The conclusion to this is to package every food item in a quantinty of 14 for one person.

I think I figured this one out, but again maybe not

I think you are right, bit it only takes 4 packs of Hotdogs and 5 packages of Hotdog Buns to balance.

My Grocery store must be different. I bought 8 dogs, and a bag of 8 buns.
I probably overpaid though for the convenience. Plus I'm now two dogs short of a batch of wieners and beans...
