MI37 to the rescue - again !
Got called out by our local sheriff's office Search and Rescue unit this afternoon. An elderly couple had spent the night out when they got stuck on a hunting trip.
They found them on snowmobiles only a 1/4 mile off the beaten path, they had got stuck in a huge mud hole. I had been running around in my H2 Hummer and a few other guys had large pick-ups in about 6" of blown and packed snow.
Getting a feel for my H2 in the snow and on trails that are packed down by snowmobiles and other vehicles. I finally went the 5 miles home and got the M37. The one guy had dug out the tire chains, but when I got there with my half worn out Michelin XL tires, I just dove into the snow and mud and left the other guys sitting on the road.
I cabled my rear end to a tree and winched the guy back up on the road with a single line.
It is unreal what a low=torque engine can do in combo with the Michelin XL tires compared to the smaller dia tires with a high torque engine.

I appoligize for no pics, when the Sheriff's office calls, we usually cut and run.
I tried a pic of my truck, but it says that the board attachment quota has been reached.

Good job!
Stories like this one are exactly why I bought an M37.

Tom, Since you live in America it is only natural that you pitched in to help, and I applaud you. Here abouts I offered to help the county with stuck boaters since I can run in 4" of water with my 4X4 boat. No dice they rather send out a Helicopter to pick up the family??? Too bad I won't ever run a Michelin tire on my M37.
