New to the M37
Hi Guys
Just wanted to introduce myself and say Hi. I purchased a 1951 M37 this summer. It was being used as a plow truck on a farm. Came with a 327. I am currently doing all the diferential seals and brakes. The truck runs well but needs some TLC. I plan on bringing it into my shop this winter and stripping it to the frame. Here are a couple of pictures.

Re: New to the M37
Looks great! I spent last winter doing that to my truck, and got it on the road in August. I just turned 1,000 miles the other day!
Good luck, and welcome aboard!

Dbritney, have the cargo box sides been cut down, they look short or is that just how they appear in the photographs?

It appears that way to me that someone cut the sides down to the wheel wells.Carter wrote:Dbritney, have the cargo box sides been cut down, they look short or is that just how they appear in the photographs?

Yes for some reason they were cut down. They used a torch so it was not a clean job. The box will be comming off as soon as i finish the axel seals. I dont know yet if i can repair the stake pockets or replace them completly. The welding and repairs done in the past were pretty rough.

Re: New to the M37
I just sent the remains of a bed to the scrappers. I did save the front stake pockets which were in good shape. Drop me a PM if they are something you are interested in.
Thanks,
Tim
