Short video of my truck

Post by powerwagontim »

One of the guys at the West Virginia Power Wagon Rally shot this short video of me doing a stream crossing. Its nothing too treacherous, but it was fun. Heck, you probably could have taken your Grandmother's Buick through! The Rally was a 320 mile loop through West Virginia, stopping at various natural wonders, it was a load of fun.

Very nice looking truck, nice action video also. Looked like a great day to be out wheeling around in the woods and streams.

Very nice video, thanks for posting. Is your truck painted "strata blue"? Also liked the vid of all the Dodges (& M725) crossing the bridge.

Hi Matt,
Next year will be a static Rally, held at Chestnut Ridge State Park. There will be a good trail ride Saturday. Every other year he hosts a Road Rally, like this one, which started in Morgantown, and we made a 320 mile loop south to Canaan Valley and back. Lots of fun, I hope you can make it.

Hi Bob,
The top is one which was given to me by a friend. It is from Weebee Webbing. I need to tighten up the roll at the top of the windshield. I was driving on the Interstate down there, crossing a long bridge with a strong crosswind. I noticed daylight appear at the center of the windshield! I reached up and grabbed the front edge of the canvas as it tried to make a parachute. I knew my exit was in about 6 miles, and so I held on to the canvas for dear life. I could steer, but not shift, but didnt need to until I got to the exit. I pulled off on the side of the ramp and got it stuffed back in. Later I tapped the roll in some more with a block of wood and a hammer, A good field repair, but I need to improve it some more.

For my various MVs I've used both Beechwood and weebee. Weebee makes a good product for the money and their turn around time wasn't bad either. Their website is: http://www.odcloth.com/

Cool video. I like the color of your truck. It is great to see it climbing over rocks and through a stream. I also have a top from Weebee Webbing. It's 5 years old and still looks tight and new.
