Hello All,
I am looking for a good upper cowl the part with the dash, windshield mount and vent something worth spot welding into my cab or at least good pieces that I can use for patch panels, I'm tired of sending folks money and getting scrap metal in return so please no garbage

Re: Wanted Upper Cowl panel
We are building an M37 that had severe rust through damage in the area. What we did was cut it out back into good metal, cut out an appropriate parch panel from new 16 gage metal, cut the hole for the vent, shrink and stretch angles to build the vent weather-strip trough and water drain trough; welded all that in place, then welded the new panel in the cowl. Time consuming, yes indeed, but we have a repair that is very solid and good as new if not better.

Thank You for the reply, The vent weather strip an surrounding area is what I need to replace and also the cowl corners, I've been kind of hopeful that I would find a clean cowl but the panel on my cab is actually in better shape than the replacements I've been getting, It's too bad no one produces a full replacement skinMSeriesRebuild wrote:We are building an M37 that had severe rust through damage in the area. Re: Wanted Upper Cowl panel
Believe it or not I cut off a complete cowl off my 51 quite a few years ago. I have it in my barn and it sits on the floor and is at least a foot of metal. It still is complete from the dash forward and about a foot down from the top of the cowl. PM me your email address and I can email you some pics of it. Of course it would be a pick up only item and i am in north east Vermont. I am heading south this weekend to hartford CT if that helps though. PM me and I will get some pics off tomorrow night...
