History of my M37

Hi I have had my M37 for 5 years now its finished if it ever can be . My queston is how can i find out the history of my M37 ie were its been around the world and who used it (army , airforce or other).I enjoy every minute in my truck and show it off as much as possible at shows in the UK.

The "big" data plate will tell you which branch of our armed forces it belonged to (the "responsible agency" blank). After that, the only things you'll have to go on are whatever hidden markings you come across under the various layers of paint. Unit of assignment was not part of the data that went with the truck when it was transferred or salvaged. The only reliable source would be the memory of someone who was assigned to drive it, but most never bothered to keep track of such things themselves since it wasn't required, and their memories might be somewhat suspect at this late day and age, anyway.

LIfer is right in what he has posted. Do you have the original glove/map box door with the data plates on it? If not post your frame number and I can match it up on a table I have and can at least tell you what year and month it was built.
