The tyres on my Dodge are starting to see the end of their reliable life, soon to be delagated to the Trailer I am yet to build, what are my best options bearing in mind I don't wish to run an NDT. I did toy with the idea of 10.00-16's or 11.00-16's but too hard to get here, about the only option at present is the STA superlug at $415 plus $20 freight per unit (not including tubes and flaps) to Tasmania from the supplier in Melbourne, as a local price that isn't bad but does anyone on here have any better suggestions?

I'm in a similar pickle in that I need tires for my Ferret (9:00X16) and I'd like to go with the "NATO" pattern tires here's a link: http://www.aircrafttyres.com/images/900 ... 8ply_2.jpg .These tires will cost me almost $400.00 each not including shipping across the pond. Have you checked with any local tire shops to see what is available in a mud & snow tire in the 9:00X16 size?

Are BF Goodrich or Yokohamas 315/75-16 available in Australia? Those are sweet tires to mount in our trucks, the BF Gs needs a wheel modification due to a rim protection rib that's not compatible with the budd split rims. The Yokos don't have that problem. You can't imagine the huge difference between a modern tire against superlugs or Power King super tractions.
