I'm rebuilding my stromberg from a 318 and find two holes that make no sense to me. They go straight through the throttle body allowing unfiltered air into the engine. I posted a pic in the pic album under Mike Corbett. any help will be appreciated.

Sounds to me like vacuum ports. If you aren't gonna use 'em, you'll have to plug 'em.
