Totally Awesome Firepower

Post by Lifer »

For you fellow "gun nuts," there is a new shotgun I'd like to have. It's called the AA-12 and has been developed for military use. It probably won't be available to the general public, though, as it's a full-auto weapon. Check it out at http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=p4ebtj1jR7c&NR=1 for a nice demonstration. It would look really neat mounted in an M37 with the drum magazine mounted on it!

Shotguns

Post by Longhunter7 »

Lifer,

I have seen this segment on the Military Channel and it is awesome!

I have always been a believer in shotguns for combat/home defense.

It needs to be in the hands of our troops ASAP!

Definately a wicked weapon, there, but I still want one of those shotguns for the next time I go duck hunting! ;)

AA-12

Post by Nickathome »

I saw this one too, ugly as sin but I'd love to be able to own one. All they need now is a belt fed 12 gauge with the cyclic rate of an MG42....

Anyone remember that semi-auto shotgun called the street sweeper? Well, more like a giant revolver really but the new one to me must take part of its origin from that gun. I love the name too AA-12. The guy who invented it must've been a reloader and used Winchester AA-12 wads in his loads then figured he'd use that as the name.

A belt-fed 12-guage would be cool, too, but why stop there?

How about a 12-guage mini-gun? Now that would be awesome! :)

Mini-Gun

Post by Nickathome »

Yeah, could take down whole flocks of geese with one of them! :o

I'd like to have one around the house for when those never ending flocks of blackbirds start buzzing the neighborhood and dropping turds all over the place.

I could use it for bird control, too. My daily driver (Dodge Dakota) sits under an elm tree most of the time. Said tree is the favorite evening gathering spot for a whole flock of starlings. Need I say what my truck looks like? :(

blackbirds...

Post by Nickathome »

I hear ya. Aside from the blackbirds here, in the warmer months the swallows come from Capistrano(a joke) and end up lining the wires in front of my house. My driveway is a miniature version of the Mojave bombing range.

Back to blackbirds, a story. I got fed up one time when this enormous flock of grackles, starlings, red wings, etc descended into the farmer's field across the street. The noise and bird poop falling all around was driving me off the deep end. So, I waltzed into the bedroom, grabbed the Mossberg 500, loaded it with some No8 dove loads and went back outside. The birds were still there when I crested the berm on the other side of the street. I cut loose into the largest concentration of birds with all three shots. After the black storm had cleared about 7 or 8 of them were flopping around on the ground. All that and only 7 or 8 caught some lead! Anyway I felt satisfied and put the gun away. I no sooner got back outside on the porch when out of nowhere swoops a redtailed hawk, grabs a blackbird in its talons and off he goes. An incredible sight. Blackbirds are filth!@!!~
