EPW engine rebuild kit

Post by 98taco3 »

Has anyone used the EPW kit on their 230? I just got a quote from them for a complete kit including pistons and cam for $600! I was just wondering if there was any experience with the kit here.

Looks like you'll be the first...thus you'll become the expert... :)

I would say do a web search on EPW and see if anyone bad mouths their kits in general. That will give you some idea as their quality and thus if it is worth the money you'll spend. Sorry I cant give you any more information than that.

EPW is usually who engine rebuild shops source their parts from. When i was wrenching we got a few kits from them here and there. Im gonna give it a go and see how it ends up working out! It would be nice to have a decent kit out there for these engines. I figured someone had to make one considering how many of them were produced.

its going to be interesting! Just decided to take it down to the rolling frame, blast and re assemble it. Might as well do it right the first time! :D
