MIRROR MOUNT QUESTION!

Crew. Can someone tell me if this is an original mirror mount? I know that's not the right mirror just wondering about the mounting arm. I'm going to fabricate something to mount a mirror on the right side and I'm hoping to come up with something that looks "sort-of" factory.

If you'd like a factory right side mirror mount, just find one from a Canadian M37...

The lower, non-rusted part of your mount looks to be correct. Several of our forum mates have gotten creative with the right-side mirror, as the standard mount makes the jerry can mount unserviceable because the can hits the mirror arm. I know there is a historical post on this subject somewhere, complete with pictures....
