I also found that the glove box door rubber bumpers were about the same size as the 3rd hole so I applied some silicone sealant to an extra one I had, and installed it. It does the job and looks good...
Hope you took a pic of it?

My 1952 still has the rubber bumpers in place but is missing the strap.

Does anyone have a general spec on size and type?

I need to obtain one for my truck.

When I was in Berlin from 1976 to 1980 the first aid kits where gone and a document pouch was installed in place of the first aid kit. The pouch was used for personal junk for road trips.

The buttons came from NAPA, rigid plastic, 4 for a buck. BTW, the glove box bumpers are at NAPA as well, 8 pc. pack 2 bucks (I think)
Two interior, two exterior.
Hope this helps.

Bruce,

What year is your truck?

My 1952 has slots, one on the right and one one the left, running in a vertical mode for the strap to fit through.

Did I take pictures !!!! I know the First Aid Kit isn't the correct one for a 54, but it has sentimental value to me. And I had to install the strap with the buckle on the side because it did hit the door when I closed it.

My truck was made in May 1952 and has the three rubber bumpers and the cuts out for the strap to pass through the passenger seat wall.

Anyone have a source for the web strap and buckle used to mount the first aid kit.

I looked in my 28 March 1972 TM 9-2320-212-20P but the strap or the first aid kit is not listed.

Thanks,

Paddy

I made my strap, sewed loops into the strap, slipped it over the Footman Loops, anchored it to the base. I bought the strapping/buckle at Aberdeen.
I have a few spare buckles if you'd like one?

I have a late 51 and it has the strap slots and bumpers. Glad someone brought this up because I would have never known what went there. I'm also in the middle of my ground up restoration. Thanks for the discussion.

This thread got me curious, I knew I had the bumpers, but couldnt remember if it had the strap loops. I looked today, and have the 3 bumpers on the seat, 2 holes for the strap, 2 small holes to screw the strap on, and 2 bumpers on the floor. I am sure the floor ones are standard, but hadnt seen them mentioned in this thread. So, its 5 bumpers, not 3. I have an NOS strap, in its original box. I bought it from George Mainiari and he said it was the only one he ever had. Truck is a 52.

Tim,

My truck was made in May of 1952 9serial number (800280670).

I just went out and looked at the bumpers.

I have three on the side of the passenger seat side and two on the floor. So I have five like your truck. I have two slots for the strap to pass through and hold the first aid kit in place.

What is the part number on your box that the strap came in?

Thanks,

Paddy

Tim. Are the two bumper on the floor the same as the ones on the side of the seat ? And how are they attached to the floor ?
