First aid kit strap

Post by Paddyofurniture »

My truck was made in May 1952 and has the three rubber bumpers and the cuts out for the strap to pass through the passenger seat wall.

Anyone have a source for the web strap and buckle used to mount the first aid kit.

I looked in my 28 March 1972 TM 9-2320-212-20P but the strap or the first aid kit is not listed.

Thanks,

Paddy

It is in the '54 edition of the ORD 9 Parts Manual. The strap PN is 7705797 or CC-1278150. No information was given as to the length of the strap though someone with one would be able to chime in. I should think the usual canvas suppliers (like Weebee Webbing) would have them or, if given the dimension supplied by someone with a strap, they should be able to build one for you.

If you find one or have one made, get one with the standard/slide buckle. The spring/alligator buckles were VN era.

Thanks Mile.

Is this a one piece or two piece strap?

The hunt for strap length goes on.
