Front Windshield hold open

Post by slk »

I am missing the 2 front center hold open locking devices on my windshield. The 2 outside ones are there and I can lock the front window open but I need the 2 center ones. I wonder if someone took them off because of a sight interference problem. It looks as if you should be able to just replace that part. Someone told me it is permently part of the front frame but mine seam to bolt on with 1/4" machine screws. If anyone knows where I can get these please let me know.

GOOD MORNING,
THEY BOLT TO THE FRAME AND SUPPORT, I HAVE REPLACED ALL OF MINE. I LIKE THE FRONT WINDOWS OPEN AND, LIKE YOU, I ONLY HAD TWO. I THOUGHT THAT ONLY USING TWO WOULD LEAD TO CRACKS IN THE GLASS. I BOUGHT THEM ON E/BAY

I was able to find some on ebay as well and they arrived today.

I have one small problem on 1 side. The part that you bolt the hinge to. The threaded piece is missing on one bracket. Can you buy these. I can probably fabricate one to work, but thought it might be easier just to buy one if they are avaliable. The threads are 1/4-28. They are swedged into the hole on the bracket.

Thanks
Steve

H. Steve,
I have a trashed windshield frame, I could cut that part off for you and you could weld it to your frams. I probably have some extra quadrants too. PM me if you are interested.
Thanks,
Tim
