NOS wiring harness worth
I found a guy that had some m37 parts and i went up to check em out. Scored 2 windshield halves, fording shroud and 4 paper manuals for 80 bucks! He also had 2 NOS wiring harnesses still in the box. I know about there being age issues with the NOS harnesses but this one is in VERY good shape and has been stored correctly. All rubber and insulation is as soft as new components. Think of any issues with it as well as what would it be worth? The harnesses are from the dash back to the tail lights. He does not have the engine harness. He wants 400 bucks for the set but that seems a bit steep to me. any thoughts?
Re: NOS wiring harness worth
Sounds way too high to me! NOS wiring is always risky. What looks good today can look much worse after a few weeks exposure to the elements and vibration. I'd think that you can get a new rear harness for less than he's asking. If you cleaned up and re-used your existing connectors, you could probably build your own harness for less than 50 bucks. I'd pass on the NOS harness if I were you.

Re: NOS wiring harness worth
I did what Bruce did and bought one from Sid Beck for 60.00. They are color coded not numbered like standard. IF you get one I can provide a lot of info on the cross over from colors to numbers. I had to add my blinkers to it and re use lots of cable ends. I Saved a bunch of money but more important I learned about every part of my harness.
Sadly Sid has retired and I don't know who bought his stock. Maybe those harnesses will be offered by who ever now has his inventory.
Here is a picture of how my right front fender looks. Tape markers have the numbers on them and then I made my own metal number tags. You can see them also. The black wire that is not connected is an extra I added. So if you are not going for historic show quality and want to really know your harness this is a good option.

Is Sid out of the parts business?
I know he is in NC but I was thinking he still sold M37 parts.
I am wrong?

Sid is in Texas, he is out of the business due to age and health issues. I understand that Brent Mullins bought out his stock, also in Texas.Paddyofurniture wrote:Is Sid out of the parts business?

A few trailers of stuff? You should make the trip, you will be amazed. You may have to do some digging to make your find, and he doesn't have near what he used too, but there is tons and tons and tons and more TONS of stuff at AB Linn's place on Jones Road. It will be an educational journey.m-37Bruce wrote:No list or web page, just give him a call.......he's got a few trailers plus of stuff, mind you, I have never been there, so this is all hear-say!
