Wire No. 85

Post by Oddjob »

Wire No. 85...

Whats it for... It shows it plugged into the ignition yet it doesn't connect to anything... and apparently the fellow that had my truck previously has it hooked up to the wrong wire...

Found the breakers I got advice on the other day... but had no time to test them as I wasn't too fond of being bit by a black widow again so I set off a bug bomb because every time I vacuum the truck out the next day I have cob webs again...

Found my No. 27 wire going to my instrument gauges looks really ratty will need some cable spliced in...

I also noticed two wires going out the drivers side firewall which one should be my No. 12 to the distributor and the other should be for the oil pressure sensor...

I hope to get to the bottom of the spaghetti known as the wiring harness...

Circuit 85 is listed as for low air pressure indicator lights. Since the M37s don't have such a thing, it likely was originally just capped and didn't power anything. So, you have an extra power source if you want to add something like maybe the last owner did. Should be powered only with the switch in on position if I'm reading the schematic right.
