I dont think there are too many out there, but, the idea always interested me, and before I lost my mind and went down the path I am currently on, I had considered the slant six. I think it is a much better engine than the 230, but, around here those are fightin words! :lol:

There was some discussion on this particular swap back on the old Big Electric forum and several guys had done it. As I recall, it fit just fine but there was no appreciable increase in power. The main advantage of the swap was parts availability. You'd be surprised how many people think that "parts aren't available" for flatheads any more.

The biggest advantage to the slant 6 over the flathead is the additional 1500-2000 rpm that is available for pulling hills and accelerating... I've heard that distributor clearance can be an issue.
