SPOTLIGHT MOUNTS! Who all wants one? Need to know how many

Post by Chunk »

Hello everybody,I'm finally getting around to making those V41 fender mounted spotlight mounts. I've been VERY busy lately, because I've had lots of irons in the fire. I'll be purchasing the raw materials soon, and need a tally of how many people would like one. The price with will be $145 SHIPPED to your door (conus). Obviously this is for the mount only. You supply the spotlight. It will include the bracket that connects to the mirror mount. It will accept both the "Guide S-16",and "Unity S-6" spotlights. As far as I know, the "Guide" has a .500 (1/2" diameter) shaft like the "Unity" spotlights. I need to confirm this. If someone could take a micrometer to they're "Guide" spotlight, and let me know the shaft diameter,I'd appreciate it. The tension clamp for the spotlight tube will be built into the tube itself. One less item to lose,or purchase for the customer. It will be shipped "raw",or "primed",whichever you prefer. I'm going to be using a "Unity S-6" for my truck, because they're not terribly expensive, and easier to come by. Unity also has 24 volt bulbs available.

Anyway,if your interested, please let me know in this thread, via private message,or e-mail. If you want more than one,I'll combined shipping to save money. No worries.

Please let me know. Thanks in advance, Chunk...(Joe)

I thought there would be more people interested. I need orders for at least ten (10) units to make it worth purchasing the materials. :(

I'd love one, but shipping to Australia would be too pricey

Hi Joe,

Sign me up for one! And thanks for making these.

I thought there were more people interested in these also from the posts last year. Give it some time and I bet you'll get more people as they probably don't check the forum every day. Maybe John Bizal at Midwest Mil. would be interested in some as he already has the spotlights to sell.

I have a drawing from someone on the forum that gives the mount dimensions. Let me know if you would like it and I can fax it to you.

Gentleman,I made a mistake on the price, because I entered the cost of one of the components twice while calculating the total cost for the project. It is now corrected in the starting post of the thread.

The correct price is $145 shipped to your door in the lower 48.

Sorry about the confusion. :D

I'm one of the few people here that has a V41, so put me down for one. It may not get out of the driveway, but I'll be able to light my way to the front door when I get old. Send a message regarding payment etc. Jim Branson should get one for his M201. Rick

This will fit a curved M37 fender not a flat fender on a M201 jeep.

M201 is the Model designation for the V-41/GT Telephone Maintenance Truck with a different Federal Stock Number 2320-835-8583.(Standard Catalog of US Military Vehicles 2nd edition pg. 65 Doyle 2003) or check ORD 9 SNL G-741. Same body, same frame.
