Another oil question...

Post by Tyroma »

Hey Gang...

I recently acquired a very nice 54 M37, and I am in the process of putting it back to wartime trim and on the road. I have been snooping around the net and the board for a straight answer on best oil weight, but there are TOO many answers!

My m37 has a well re-built 251ci. What is the best oil weight that I should be running in it for summertime use only?

Thanks!

Ty

I would suggest a premium brand of 15-40 grade in the engine. This will be good for winter also unless you are in extreme arctic cold. We like Royal Purple synthetic, if you prefer not to spend that much money, I'd recommend Chevron Delo 400 or Shell Rotella T.
