installing cup in knuckles

Do you install the cups flush with the top and bottom edge? The old cups extend beyond into the cap and shims a little.

The cups go in the cup holder. Sorry could not resist!!!!

Installing flush is fine, they will move up or down as you add or remove shims to adjust bearing preload.
