Gasket question

Post by RADDOX »

Looks like I have used up the gasket between the distributor and the block. Does anyone have the correct thickness for the gasket material to make one ?

The gasket sits down in the indention in the block, it's not flat like you might be thinking. Midwest Military has them made out of cork. They're round like an o-ring, but picture an o-ring made out of square cork.

The square cross section can also be found in rubber.

Couldn't you just use a quad-ring?
