Knuckle cleanup

Post by Gerry »

Ant tricks to smoothing out my front knuckles before reassembly. Fine sanding cloth?
Thanks,
Gerry

I used sand paper and carb cleaner to shine mine up.

I hope it was "wet-or-dry" sandpaper and 600-grit or finer! My choice would have been 1200-grit emery cloth and I probably wouldn't have thought of the carb cleaner until after I had the first one all prettied up.
Some 0000 steel wook might also work. Just a few possible ideas. :)
