Hi guys, i have sent the family out today so i can make headway on this wiring issue.
When i take of the multi pin for the light switch and put the meter on it i get:
Pin B = 24v
When i replace the wires to the light switch, i am trying to get brake light, but can't so something i wrong, i am at the end of my tether, and the schematics tell me nothing

Bruce,
Have you checked to see if your getting voltage to the brake light switch? Is the switch closing when the peddle is pushed? Do you have voltage at the brake light its self? Do some testing to see if you can see where the power is getting lost. It should go from the light switch to the brake light switch to the brake lights. So test to see if it the voltage goes from the light switch to the brake light switch. Then test to see if the brake light switch is closing and making contact. Then see if you get voltage at the actual brake light. Once you figure out where the loss of voltage is at you can then trouble shoot for the problem. Broken wire? Bad connector? etc.
Good luck.

Thanks for that, i'd really like to make sure if pin B ( when you unscrew the wires from the back of the light switch) is supposed to have 24v, otherwise if not i am chasing my tail

According to my diagram B is the instrument lights #40.
The stop light switch is:
A#75 stop light feed
K #75A stop light switch.
You could always try a new stop light switch. Any over the counter one will work as they are not voltage sensitive. Cheap but not military.
Hope you beat back the gremlins !!

Thanks guys,
Looks like i will be ok, trouble was i couldn't trust my wiring numbers due to it having (previously ) the old relay box when the army installed turn signals into the brake lights.
I have removed this
Also , the two arctic heaters have thier wires taped into places, all this combined made logical schematic searching difficult
Anyway looks like i am on a good path now
