Arctic Hard Top info

Post by N1VSM »

Does anyone have an arctic hard top with all 3 inside sheet-metal pieces? I'm missing the front one & need some measurements/pictures/drawings so I can fab one up.

Second question: how are the 2 support ribs secured? I have one where the front joint has let go, and the rib can float all over the place. Are they just pressed in, or is there a weld or screw (or chewing gum)?

I know that there is a discussion of these tops going on in the Swap Meet section, but thought I'd post my specific questions here instead of hijacking that thread.

the top on my 53 has all of that sheet metal inside , unfortunatly it has a hole about 3 foot wide in the midlle of the top , but if you want to fabricate one maybee it would be easier to fix that one , the rear window in that top is pending sale but the rest of the top is available , how much is it worth to you considering you will have to pay shipping , would 150 buck be a fair price for you?

Thanks Paul.
I already have the hard top - just looking for the smallest of the 3 metal headliner pieces.

I have two sliding window hardtops and one came with the piece you are looking for. It has a hole in it, but I am going to make two using it for a template. Looks like it might be an english wheel project - curves in both directions. If you send me your email address or phone, I could make 3 instead of 2. I figure, once the bugs are worked out, shouldn't be too bad.
