I'd buy you a soft top for one if you weren't so far away, but the problems and cost of shipping wouldn't make it feasible for either of us. That would be a bargain for someone.

Great pictures. Welcome aboard. Looks like a couple of decent rigs. Whats with the trees on the bedless truck? Were they growing up through it or was somebody being creative?

I think the trees were so they could find the trucks in the winter!

believe it or not the wood post on the bed less one where there to hold wood, the old fellow who owned it for the last 30 year used it only as a skidder/porter, he said he was putting a cord of hard wood on the back of the frame and he was twitching 4 big lug of mapple at the same time with that truck, just proove how sturdy they are and lucky for me it has never seen the road and salt so the whole truck is in pretty good shape minus a few dent...lol

Paul, It looks like you are making great progress on the truck.

You may be working too fast because the snow has really melted since your first post 3 days ago

nice day today had some more work done and started restoring the frame ;) ouf hard labor but it will be worth it, i found some marking stamped in the frame including a serial number , but the number is to faint to show on the camera, you can also see all kind of tool marks on the frame proving it was bended cold or pressed

any how here are the pics enjoy!

same old today boring stuff, used some chemical aircraft paint stripper to remove the old paint from the frame in order to cut dow on sanding , lot of scraping nothing to take picture of, sarted taking the rear axle appart and destroyed the pinion bearing trying to save the oil seal, darn it , there was a nut holding he bearing in, lol oh well live and learn , will post pic when interesting stuff stats happening

Don't bother trying to save any of the seals Paul - the NOS ones are junk (as has been bantered about on here many times). Replace the seals with newer modern lip seals and all will be much better...

Keep up the good work!
