Flasher signals

Post by Antonio »

I've just bought my M-37..One of my thoughts is to install turn signals. Does anyone reccomend that I do this? If so, what parts do you reccommend that I buy and who is a responsible vendor?

There was a military kit for that which I don't think is available any longer. You should be able to get an add on kit from Vintage Wiring of Maine along with the turn signal lever assembly and flasher box.

Joe is a great guy and I got an entire wiring harness from him for my truck.

Welcome to the group.

You have three basic options. All will work on your M37.

1-Early 24 volt military conversion kit (Relay type).

2-Late 24 volt military conversion kit (transistorized).

3-Civilian Signalstat 900 series kit. They do have a heavy truck unit in 24 volt.

If you are contemplating a new vehicle wiring harness then by all means Vintage Wiring of Maine is the best show in town and he can tailor your new harness for any of the above three turn signal options.

This topic comes up every few months and if you had done a search of the forum you would have found several pages of interesting writeups and wiring diagrams.
