First stop AB Linn - tank retreiver

2nd stop Charles Talbert, admiring the excellant work that he does.

3rd stop White Owl. Old M37, looks like a battlefield out there. The humidity and rust is tough on anything sitting out.

Tracked vehicle at White Owl sold to an active duty soldier.

Last stop Cabell Garbee, looking over his interesting collection of about 10 vehicles.

My thanks to them all for their hospitality.

Cool pics thanks for posting. The tank retreiver looks like it might be an M50(?) it was the predisessor to the M88 and was built on an M103 (heavy) tank chassis.

Nice pics - and nice to put a few faces with names!

Nice interior Charles, I like the two-tone black and green - looks sharp! I'm also liking your gauge cluster setup - very clean and functional, yet classy. Are those also the Yokohama M/t's or the Pit Bull brand of tires? Eitherway, they look good.

Tires are Yokohama M/T radials.

I have to give Cabell a bad time here - when I parted ways, I told him I had some time on my hands, and wondered if there was any thing of interest between him and Raleigh.
He replied that there wasn't.
I drove down the road about 4 miles and came across the quaitest old mill that was kept intact by the state of NC.

Beautiful country.

Oh, yes, I forgot, Tim at Old Grouch Surplus in Clyde, NC.
The gun belongs to the city but Tim helps keep it up and supplied the practice rounds.
That reminds me - I was in the head and found a pair of 1960's LANGE ski's that I had Tim ship to me, and I haven't seen them yet.

Tom, That is an excellent picture of the old mill. Its kind of neat to stumble across places like that while traveling, the locals take it for granted.

I've lived ion NC all my life except for 3 years in the military, I had no idea the mill was there. I need to check that out sometime when I'm over that way.
