I'm looking for a reasonably priced 3 phase generator. It would be best if it could fit in the back on and m37 so i can keep it there. Running condition would be best. I dont need a lot of KW but 440v would be best
Closer to NC the better. Feel free to email. MLCerrone (@) aol.com

I assume that you are looking for one with it's own power plant ? ?
The first thing that came to mind was a generator unit out of the back of a maintanance-service truck.
I have serveral, but nothing for sale.

Older aviation heavy jet units might work for you but they are 3 PH 205 V AC 400 Cyc. They came with air cooled piston flat opposed gas six's, inline diesels and turbines. I suppose you are nailed down to 440V 60 Cyc?

Check with tool rental yards. At work we bought a 70 KW multiquip from sunbelt rentals about 4 years ago for $5k. It had about 16,000 hrs on it when we bought it. they have a lot of older 25 KW units that are probably close to selling age. The other nice thing about those units is you can switch between 480 3p, 230 3p, and 240 1p. let me know but I can see what they have available, as their pump & power division is located about 100 yards from my office.

The go to place in North Carolina for generators is Delk's Army/Navy Surplus near Asheboro, NC, located on highway 64 west toward Lexington. You need to ask for William, they have a huge stock, all sizes. William can tell you what is on hand, and answer any techinical question you could dream of concerning generators. They also have a huge parts stock available. Don't have the phone# off the top of my head, but I'm sure directory assistance has it. It is a 336 area code.
