Another Disc Brake (easy) Question

Post by SierraM37 »

I'm wondering where the copper washer goes on the flex brake line to the caliper. Does it go in between the caliper and hose or between the hose and banjo bolt? Of should there be two for each hose - one above and one below.

Almost done with the brake lines!

Should be two, on both sides of the fitting.

Will is correct - one washer between the banjo and the caliper, and the other between the banjo and the bolt head. The copper washers act as the gasket to keep the brake fluid in...

and they should always be replaced whenever the bolt is loostened, as they deform to make a seal.
