Yeah, inadvertently patriotic I guess. Its called, never getting around to painting the inside of the cab, plus the only color pool vacuum line that Home Depot had....

I did pretty much the same thing except I cut a hole in the center of the knockout for the stock defroster in the dash. I inserted the 1 1/2 pvc through it then put on a 90 degree and ran it up to a T like is pictured in your set up. I did not cement the 90 degree to the pipe coming out of the dash. This allows me to take the whole assembly off and I just put a cap on the pipe sticking out of the dash so it looks pretty clean. This is handy when you want to fold the windshield down in the summer. You can remove the whole contraption. For the air holes in the horizontal pipe, I cut a slot about six inches long and about one quarter inch wide aimed at the center bottom of each windshield. It works pretty well but I would suggest starting with a slot about two inches wide on the passenger side because it gets the strongest air flow out of the blower. You can always make it longer if necessary. I am going to make a slide cover to fit the passenger side so I can get more air flow to the drivers side window.

Yeah, I had the unit running earlier today after I finished figuring out that my alternator was not really bad, just an unplugged wire under the dash. Anyway, I did notice the passenger side does get more airflow, but there is still enough managing to get to the driver's side as to do the job. Since I have already cut about a 10 inch slot in my passenger's side, I will have to do as you mention and maybe introduce some kind of sliding pipe to restrict the airflow on the passenger side if need be. Or, I can just buy some more PVC and make another one. Since I have no desire to ever take down my windshield in warm weather, I plan to keep my defroster hooked up year round.
GOOD JOB!!! DID YOU USE IT YET TO SEE HOW WELL IT WORKS? I HOPE IT WORKS REALLY GOOD. I DO NOT HAVE A HEATER IN MY M37, BUT AT SOME POINT AS YEARS GO BY AND I GET LESS TOLERANCE FOR COLD ON MY BODY I MIGHT FOLLOW YOUR LEAD AND FABRICATE ONE. THANKS FOR THE INPUT

Nah, haven't used it yet. I haven't had the truck out of the garage recently because the roads are still salted up pretty bad from the last little 2 incher snowstorm we had last week. I may take the truck out this weekend to get gas in it, I'll try it then. Its not supposed to be real cold this weekend though. Supposed to be in the low 40's by Saturday.SOTVEN wrote:GOOD JOB!!!
