Done for the year

Post by m-11 »

I finished the teardown for the year. I pushed the frame out of the shop to make room for my mutt and than put my trailers full of parts in the barn. I'll start up on the frame again in the spring and remove the diffs. However I will start on blasting the other pieces through the winter and begin to build new wiring harnesses.

Trailers sure come in handy.

The battery box area isn't bad. I'm glad the last owner didn't fix the leak in the transfer case. Looks as though it helped preserve part of the battery box area.

Looks plenty cold up your way! Enjoy your "off-season" (does such a thing really exist to us M37 folks?)

m-37 Bruce,

If your asking about the floor in the building, it's woodchips over dirt. The previuos owners built this 30x45 shop and partioned it in half. The other side is concrete. This side was going to be used as a barn for their horses. I plan on opening up the building and pouring cement. As far as a blaster I take my stuff to work and use the blast cabinet there but I will need to find a blasting outfit here for the big stuff. Do you have the blast cabinet from HF? I was thinking about buying one and a big 220v Snap On compressors with 17-19 CFM.

Better Blaster

Post by m-37Bruce »

I'm not happy w/it at all, my next one is coming from Grainger.
The Snap-On compressor sounds like a good choice, bigger is always better.

Dan,

Thanks but I think the shipping would be quite a bit. I could get a HF cabinet and put a better blast gun setup in it.
