I love looking at snow, too, but sooner or later I gotta go outside for something and my appreciation of its beauty disappears before I can take two steps! I do not regret moving from IL to GA one little bit. It was 45 deg while I was out shopping this morning, and that's cold enough for me! Keep posting those pics, though. They are pretty, I have to admit.

Well, I'm back after another day of plowing. This time for the neighbors who are unable to do for themselves like the nice lady across the street who has a broken leg, hard to shovel when on crutches and the 82 yr. old lady on the next block over who lost het husband a yr. ago as well as some of my friends who I always help.

Ric, If I lived where you do I could take life a lot easier as it's a lot of work installing the blade and plowing with it using Armstrong power steering. I like to see snow also and if I didn't have this rig I'd have to shovel it

Just for you Lifer so you don't start missing snow and want to move back to the land of frozen lakes, rivers, hands and feet. This rig really makes the snow fly!

Merry Christmas to you David. Bert, it looks like a road but it's really only my driveway but long enough to build some speed and get the snow rolling off the blade. "Snow is the enemy and must be removed"

Steering, shifting, clutching, working the winch and turning my head nearly 180 is multitasking to the max. DJ, cookies have to be an inside and by the fire thing but you should have seen me trying to plow and take that picture of me doing it, I was beside my self

I took my truck out on Saturday in the whiteout. Had a blast. Having trouble with my alternator though, as batteries were in the red by the time I parked the truck. I think it may be that my batts were low to begin with from the truck sitting for a while, and wasn't out long enough to allow a decent charge. Had lights on, heater running and wipers going. Gonna charge them up tonight and see how things go. Was really impressed with how the truck handled in the snow. Drove like a tank. Wish it had some kind of defrost capabilities though. I may have to rig up the PVC defroster that I saw on the midwest mil website.

I can only see your "click on thumbnail" picture, Carter, but watch the weather reports intently from here in Monterey, where it was 65 degrees yesterday. Looks like the East got slammed pretty good. Be safe, Everyone!

Nick, sorry to learn you are having trouble, other than what has been covered in your other post I am at a loss to recommend any other course of action. As posted before, check the battery voltage before starting then with the engine running which will give a good indication of what both the batts and alt. are doing along with tightening and cleaning all connections thoroughly. It shouldn't make any difference if the batts were low at start-up as the alt. should charge them with the engine operating at driving speed.

In the last shot, that mound on the extreme right of the frame is a completely covered car.

Ric, An M37 and a plow just seem to be made for each other. The plow I bought for $100 about 24 years ago and the frame was made from some old 4" channel steel and a couple of other scraps I had on hand and I am happy it makes the snow fly, I hate shoveling snow

but enjoy plow it with the M. All of this white stuff before winter had started. Autumn Blizzard just doesn't sound right when I say it.
